Swann Olives is located in Rangitukia, a small Māori settlement on the East Coast. The olive grove is planted on whenua tīpuna, the land of our ancestors. 

The vision to grow olive trees came from our dad Brent Swann, who had experiences working on an olive grove in the Mediterranean in the 1980s. He saw that olive oil was highly valued by the community, and its production and use was a cultural activity that involved the whole whānau. A seed was planted, “we could be good at this”. 

After years of mahi and challenges, our vision is coming to fruition. We have worked alongside local ahikā and drawn on the skills of our whānau to create a sustainable business with a positive future.
